Funding a Wallet

There are several simple ways to get ALPH into your Alephium wallet: buy it directly through a supported wallet, withdraw it from a centralized exchange, bridge ALPH from another network, or receive it from another wallet.

TL;DR. If you are new to crypto, the easiest option is usually to buy ALPH directly in the Alephium Mobile or Desktop Wallet. If you already have ALPH on an exchange, you can withdraw it directly to your Alephium wallet. If you hold ALPH on Ethereum or BSC, you can use the Alephium Bridge to move it to the native Alephium network.

Path 1: Buy ALPH in your wallet​

The Alephium Mobile and Desktop Wallets support buying ALPH directly with fiat through an integrated on-ramp. Depending on your location and provider availability, you can use options such as a debit or credit card, bank transfer, or Apple Pay.

  1. Open your Alephium Mobile or Desktop Wallet.

  2. Select the option to buy ALPH.

  3. Choose your payment method and amount.

  4. Complete the payment and any required verification.

  5. ALPH is sent directly to your wallet.

Note: Availability and payment methods vary by country.

Path 2: Centralized exchange withdrawal​

If you already have ALPH on a centralized exchange, you can withdraw it directly to your Alephium wallet.

  1. Copy your Alephium wallet address.

  2. Open the withdrawal section of your exchange.

  3. Select ALPH.

  4. Paste your Alephium address.

  5. Make sure you select the Alephium network.

  6. Confirm the withdrawal.

Always double-check the address and network before confirming a withdrawal. For a large transfer, consider sending a small test amount first.

Path 3: Bridge ALPH from another network​

ALPH is also available on Ethereum and BSC as bridged versions. Powfi links to the Alephium Bridge, a separate application that moves supported assets between those networks and native Alephium. The bridge is not operated by Powfi's smart contracts.

The basic flow is:

Connect wallets → Select networks → Select ALPH → Review → Confirm → Redeem

Bridge transfers generally take several minutes. Around 5-10 minutes from Ethereum to Alephium and around 2-5 minutes from BSC to Alephium.

Important: Use the official Alephium Bridge at bridge.alephium.org and check that you are moving the correct ALPH asset.

Path 4: Receive ALPH from another wallet​

You can also receive ALPH directly from another person or wallet.

Simply:

  1. Copy your Alephium wallet address.

  2. Share it with the sender.

  3. The sender sends ALPH to your address.

  4. Wait for the transaction to confirm.

Only share your wallet address. Never share your seed phrase or private keys.

After funding​

Once your ALPH arrives, check that:

  • Your wallet shows the expected ALPH balance.

  • The transaction appears in your wallet history.

  • You have enough ALPH available for transaction fees.

You can then use your ALPH to swap, stake, or provide liquidity through Powfi.
